Women’s Voices’ Leaders Participate in the First National Youth Conference held in Sharm el-Sheikh

(Cairo, October 27th, 2016) Young leaders of “Women’s Voices” project participated in the first National Youth Conference organized by the Presidency over the period 25th– 27th of October, 2016 in Sharm el-Sheik.

youthThis is the first national conference targeting young people to invest in their capacities under the slogan “Innovate- Advance”. The conference aims at building a dialogue with the young people around various topics ranging from politics, economics, and culture in a way to get their suggestions and opinions on how to address current problems.

It is worth noting that among the audience of the National Youth Conference was a number of young female leaders who were trained by Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights as part of Women’s Voices Project. Women’s Voices is a cooperation project between ECWR and Fund for Gender Equality – UN Women aiming at building the capacities of young female activists across the 27 Egyptian governorates to participate actively in the upcoming Local Councils’ elections.
