Protection must guarantee legal rights and safety measures rather than restricting movement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">ECWR warns that while a ban may stem from a place of concern, it fails to address the root causes of the problem. In fact, it often yields counterproductive results, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Increased Vulnerability:<\/strong> Pushing women toward informal or illegal migration routes, thereby increasing the risk of exploitation.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Unregulated Intermediaries:<\/strong> Empowering unlicensed brokers and human traffickers.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"6,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Violation of Rights:<\/strong> Infringing upon the fundamental human right to freedom of movement and the right to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Nehad AboelKomsan, <em>Chairwoman of ECWR<\/em>, asserts that the State possesses the necessary tools to achieve protection without resorting to bans. ECWR proposes the following measures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"9,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Contract Regulation:<\/strong> Ensuring all employment contracts are documented and verified prior to travel to guarantee clear rights and obligations.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"9,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Strict Oversight:<\/strong> Tightening monitoring of recruitment agencies and intermediaries, while holding violators strictly accountable.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"9,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Diplomatic Engagement:<\/strong> Activating the role of embassies and diplomatic missions to monitor the conditions of women workers and intervene when necessary.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"9,3,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Grievance Mechanisms:<\/strong> Establishing effective channels for filing complaints and ensuring the recovery of rights.<\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"9,4,0\"><strong data-path-to-node=\"9,4,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Criminalizing Abuse:<\/strong> Explicitly criminalizing practices that undermine dignity, such as the confiscation of passports or the imposition of illegal restrictions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-path-to-node=\"10,0\">&#8220;<em>Protecting women is not achieved by restricting their movement or limiting their economic opportunities<\/em>,&#8221; says <strong data-path-to-node=\"10,0\" data-index-in-node=\"112\">Nehad AboelKomsan<\/strong>. &#8220;<em>Empowerment comes from creating a safe and fair environment.
