It was jointly organized by UN Women and the <span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women<\/span>, with the participation of experts, feminist organizations, and human rights groups from across the Arab region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1157\">While moderating the opening session on the conceptual framework linking gender stereotypes and gender-based discrimination, Ms. Nehad Aboul Komsan emphasized that:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1414\">\u201cGender stereotypes are not limited to social or cultural perceptions;
