{"id":1111,"date":"2011-12-28T18:37:42","date_gmt":"2011-12-28T18:37:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/enas\/?p=1111"},"modified":"2011-12-28T18:37:42","modified_gmt":"2011-12-28T18:37:42","slug":"victory-for-human-and-womens-rights-the-administrative-court-accepted-samira-ibrahims-lawsuit-against-the-scaf-to-stop-the-virginity-tests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecwronline.org\/?p=1111&lang=ar","title":{"rendered":"Victory for Human and Women\u2019s Rights The Administrative Court accepted Samira Ibrahim\u2019s Lawsuit against the SCAF to stop the virginity tests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Cairo, December 28, 2011) ECWR welcomes the ruling of the Administrative Court which accepted Samira Ibrahim\u2019s lawsuit of the 27th of December 2011.<br \/>\nThe court orders that the execution of the procedure of virginity tests on girls inside military prisons be stopped, and accepted Ms. Ibrahim\u2019s appeal against the SCAF: she underwent the virginity tests after her rest in the clashes of March 9th sit in dispersion along with other 18 girls.<br \/>\nThe verdict has been welcomed by human and women&#8217;s rights activists and critics of the SCAF authorities.<br \/>\nECWR says that women have the rights to express their opinion for the future of Egypt and they have also the right to participate in Peaceful demonstrations without being subjected to torture.<br \/>\nECWR refuses any attempt to cancel or reduce women\u2019s participation at all levels including drag, beat, and virginity tests according to the citizenship principles which are issued by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) in the constitutional declaration, Article No. 7 which states <em>\u201cAll citizens are equal in front of the law, equal<\/em><br \/>\n<em> in duties and rights regardless of gender, religion and race.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nAlso, any assault is considered as a violation of the right of freedom and the peaceful assembly according to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights Article No. 21 <em>\u201cThe right of peaceful assembly shall be recognized.
