Founded in 1996, ECWR works with women and community organizations on activities designed to work on two levels: empowering the individual and strengthening civil society.\u00a0 Primarily concerned with improving women&#8217;s legal and political status, ECWR operates a number of programs ranging from direct legal aid for needy women to trainings, election monitoring and advocacy. Full information about our programs and activities can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecwronline.org\">www.ecwronline.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">It is worth mentioning that ECWR uses unconventional tools including radio and TV shows to advocate and enhance women&#8217;s rights. Thus, ECWR seeks a fundraising and marketing officer who has the ability to market ECWR&#8217;s ideas and projects especially the TV show to the concerned bodies and build partnerships with the privet sector.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Meeting with donors and discussing with them ECWR&#8217;s projects, ideas and plans for the future and asking for partnership<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Send proposals and strives to match up donors&#8217; interests with ecwr&#8217;s priority projects.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Track applications and follow-up<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Expand the database of donors so they receive news about ECWR all the time<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Search for new donors and contact them<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr;\">Highlight issues we want to make new projects on in the ecwr update newsletter<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Monitor and evaluate fundraising and submit evaluation to Chair<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience at least 2 years (paid or voluntary) in fundraising work for gender equality, women&#8217;s rights and\/or sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with Raiser\u2019s Edge (or an alternative CRM), Excel, Email Marketing software (e.g. Campaigner, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp)<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Experience with nonprofit organizations, human rights and women&#8217;s rights;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and plan ahead;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Outstanding research and editing skills;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated ability to write in a manner that is clear, accessible and engaging;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of issues related to gender and development and women&#8217;s human rights on a global scale and particularly in the MENA region and Egypt, and strong gender analysis skills;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Demonstrated creativity and critical thinking;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong networking and outreach skills;<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 University degree or related experience with a focus on women&#8217;s rights<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Interested candidates should send CV and cover letter in English by email to <\/b><a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" href=\"mailto:ecwr@ecwronline.org\">ecwr@ecwronline.org<\/a><b> with the subject line, &#8220;Fundraising &amp; Marketing Officer&#8221;.
