The Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights sends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to Mrs. Nehad Abulkomsan, Chairwoman of ECWR, for receiving an ‘Award of Appreciation’ for her contributions and efforts in the field of women’s empowerment and advancement of their status to building a stronger Egypt.
The Award comes on the occasion of the celebration of International Women’s Day 2022 (March 8) and Egyptian Women’s Day (March 16). The Embassies of Canada, Sweden and Mexico was co-hosted an event where the “Champion of Change Awards” was presented to recognize the contribution of exceptional Egyptian women.
The event was held on March 20, 2022 at the official residence of the Canadian Ambassador in Egypt.
It is worth noting that Ms. Nehad Abuelkomsan was also honored from Zagazig University and Dobara Church due to her efforts in women’s rights.
ECWR believes that the importance of such events lies in shedding light on role models that have effective contributions in various fields, to set an example for other women in their country, as well as to encourage the younger generations.
